Description
This portrait photograph was taken during 1966 when I was an art student, photography was part of the course and I excelled in this subject, taken with a process camera plate film and studio lights with dark backcloth, I arranged the style of her silk scarf, I used a glow technique with the lamps on her face turning away from camera, leaving contrasting shadows below the picture and her chunky jewels. I developed this myself in the students dark rooms. This is an original 1960's fashion of the time in her attire. I digitally restored it giving back the photo its crispness and detail. The original print being black and white. This version is the original sepia version digitally advanced to bring out the golden tones as this was the colour of the model's dress and scarf I thought I'd instill this into the sepia giving it a vibrant shimmer of the silk, this also enhanced the lost resolutions in the other softer sepia version there is only one size short compared to the original black and white version
