Description
This portrait photograph was taken during 1966 when I was an art student, photography was part of the course and I excelled in this subject, taken with a process camera plate film and studio lights with backcloth, I arranged the style of her silk scarf, I used a glow technique with the lamps on her face turning away from camera, leaving contrasting shadows below the picture and her chunky jewels. I developed this myself in the students dark rooms. This is an original 1960's fashion of the time in her attire in a Mary Quant style. I digitally restored it giving back the photo its crispness and detail. The original print being black and white And was a sepia shade with the age of it I deepened the sepia during the restoration process and created a sepia version, looks great in this colour, somehow the resolutions are a wee bit lower in size when I adjusted this to sepia and a softer glow so there are less sizes available in this version compared to the black and white version, yet it is as fresh as when I photographed it with the restoration
