Description
This is a little pathway that leads from the beautiful gardened houses in Wallasey's superb that leads down to the Beach, not New Brighton but Wallasey Beach. I remember my mother walking us through this pathway to Wallasey beach when we were very small, my late brother John and I we both had vivid memories of this pathway when it used to have gas lamps along the walls and some steps which have both been removed one replaced by ugly electric lamps and the steps removed for disabled access, such a pity as the steps looked lovely and the lamps were something else, it's a wonderful beach, lovely and peaceful, a nice place to picnic away from the crowds at New Brighton you can see the ferries crossing over to Liverpool here as it's not far from Seacombe Ferry, it was a lovely sunny summers day in early June and you can see the River Mersey sparkling in the distance
