Description
This is the most beautiful view of the Lime Trees at Mill or Miller Park in Preston and the longest distant photo I took of them, it really draws you in. The summer sunshine and the young fresh leaves look so green and translucent you can smell the green. This is the view you see immediately when you've crossed the foot bridge over the river Ribble from Avenham Park to Miller Park at Preston City in Lancashire, a beautiful sight to see, a kind of Narnia in the city and a protected green belt area that's under threat; it's a long path, and leads to, as far as Bolton. Unlike the avenue of Limes at the riverside in Avenham park this avenue is part of a woodland area. Cyclists and horses are seen going along this path alongside walkers. The lime trees are so natural looking, they take your breath away, with their beauty alongside the wild flowers growing around their roots, and you're sure to see a squirrel or two scampering up their branches, also the sounds of birds can be heard chirping and singing and is a chorus of absolute bliss in the woodland beyond. This was a perfect summer's day for a walk here, a beautifully warm sunny day in June, with the sun's golden hues sparkling through the branches and leaves, leaving dapples of gold across the shadows below, looks great as a wall feature in any room and makes stunning accessories
