Description
The row boats are the first thing you see as you approach the waters edge of Lake Windermere at Waterhead in Ambleside at the English Lake District, no one is around, and they are empty. I was there early spring waiting for a ferry to take me across the lake to Bowness on the other side of the lake and a tour around the lake before I arrived there. These rowboats are for hire but no one was on a row boat that day as the weather was mist and rain, not ideal for rowing, as water would get into the boats, I dont think they allow hiring of these boats in such weather. They look very picturesque mooring there alone at the waters edge and they are all named, of what I can see, one is called Spray and another called Comet.
