Description
Looks like autumn but the trees are completely bare, the golden copper coloured leaves are on the ground waiting to be covered by snow, of which it did very shortly after this picture was taken November 30th 2010 the year of the big freeze. My daughter walks through the calm and beauty of these birch and pine woodland and the red squirrels are well into their hibernation. Formby wood is well know for its red squirrels and is a tourist attraction in the summer months. This picture is classed as both winter and Autumn in my collections on here. Notice the Y shaped birch tree in the foreground.
