A quick portrait in watercolour of my daughter aged only 2yrs sketched in blue and black biro then painted in loose watercolour techniques, I painted this in the 1970's when my daughter was only 2yrs from life , her hair of light golden auburn up in a pony tail. With the biro pen her eyebrows and eyelashes are darker as they were naturally blonde, a bit difficult to do with a biro, but looks rather lovely as I did capture the correct countours, her lips are a brighter red then they should be as I was limited to only a few paints then to use, it's an old discarded portrait that I recovered and rather like it now she's wearing a cotton pink dress with a lace colour and a ribbon to match, I loved dressing her up in pretty clothes and pink was definitely her colour then
