Description
A corridor of art, so named as that’s what it is. The corridor that goes alongside the different galleries at the Bluecoat art galleries in Liverpool at the end of Church Alley linking with School Lane. To the right there are openings to the different galleries and to the left the tall windows and a doorway into the grounds and gardens of the gallery, at the end of the corridor is the booking office and small bistro bar and seating, people can sit along the corridor studying the programmes of the current exhibitions as well as view some of the works on the wall along it. The building hasn’t its original features inside here but has been renovated to accommodate an art gallery, with Picasso style wallpaper and concrete floors in the corridor, some parts have the original features such as the studio rooms, theatre and restaurant upstairs. The outer building is fully restored to it’s original facade of a school building as it is the oldest building in Liverpool, a grade listed and historical place in the city. This gallery photo is a piece of contemporary art with its dimensions, graduation of light and length that draws you into the picture.
