Southport Pier on a lovely autumn day with the golden sunshine shining down and a vivid blue sky overhead. The pier is half closed as the summer season has come to an end, it looks so peaceful as the crowds have dispersed for the season, a lovely refreshing walk down to the beach steps were I exited the pier onto the Ocean Plaza complex. This is one of the longest piers in the country and one of the oldest, the council are refurbishing it even further for next spring, looking foreword to seeing the results. This is a second view of the pier with the same couple strolling along in the sunshine.
