You don't often see swans on their own they are usually in pairs, this swan's partner was probably startled by the jet skis in the distance were as this swan didn't seem to care much about it, I can see a little white speck of a swan to the far left of picture....yes she is hiding there by the bushes. The Marine boating lake in Southport with its hotel complex Ocean plaza Mall and outline of the town in the distance a lovely sunny day...I used texture to give interest in art of the subject and to bring the best of its colour and layout...I love the blue hue this picture had created and the texture lends well to it.
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
