Artist's Description
The Kelpies, A grand and majestic sculpture of two horses heads created by Andy Scott, a Scottish artist and sculptor. These images are huge and are made out of metal geometric shapes of galvinised steel, they have become quite a landmark and tourist attraction with about 4 million tourists visiting them since they were erected 5yrs ago. These sculptures are in Falkirk not far from Edinburgh. I took a picture of them with only the sky in view and this gives it quite a dramatic impact, looks good as a print and on all the accessories
About Joan-Violet Stretch
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
