Artist's Description
A painting of St Cuthbert's Church in Churchtown Southport taken from an old etching of the church that I sketched. I then added a snow scene in watercolour pen and ink making it a moonlit night sky snow scene, with an added greeting for the season, can be used for a new Year or Christmas greeting
About Joan-Violet Stretch
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them. Thank you Maria I achieved the sky by masking the image and spraying it in 3 colours grey, blue and white it was originally a design for a Xmas card I did at an art workshop with the late Philip Berrill :)
