Taken on a clear day in early summer, a lovely clear view with reflections in the Marine lake, of Southport Pier, one of the longest piers in the UK that stretches from the promenade across the Marine Lake, the Ocean Plaza complex and then across the beach and out to sea, where views of Blackpool can be seen especially on a clear day like this one, in this view the pier and groups of people are silhouettes against the light, I love this effect
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
