A pen and ink wash I did of Saint Cuthbert's Church in Churchtown Southport taken from an old etching of the church when the village was called North Meols, it's one of the oldest churches in the north west of England and is still a place of worship today. I painted this on cream card in sepia pen and ink wash, this version has a border in a matching check design to cover edging and has larger resolutions. This work was originally a card design for Southport tourism that I did and so was actually painted on a card size and greeting card prints were taken from it that were produced from a printing block, I had a poem I wrote and best wishes written inside the card, I still have some of these cards.
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
