My Flamingo photo taken at Martin Mere Wild Bird sanctuary in England. I created a poster style using a flame red border and font The Flamingo changes it's colour according to the food it eats from pale pink, deep coral pink, orange or scarlet, they are wonderful birds and look spectacular in their pink or flame plumage, they have been likened to the Phoenix bird of legend, their Latin name being phoenicopteridae due to the deeper scarlet colour of their tails
About Joan-Violet Stretch
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
