A portrait I did in 1968 whilst working at Liverpool Echo newspapers at the Wirral branch in the photography dept, of Frank (Adrienne) Laughton, a work colleague and press photographer then, I knew him as Frank but his true name was Adrienne. I had a photo taken of him that the drawing was copied from, he never sat for me nor did he know I had sketched him, it's a memory that I want to share and is available as prints if anyone would want a copy of this drawing. I saw Frank quite a few years ago and he looked about the same, and was a photographic editor for the Liverpool post and Echo, not seen him for a while though not really since the early 2000's at The Southport flower show, I hope he is ok perhaps he's retired...anyway hope all is well with you Frank wherever you are and that you approve of my portrait. I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
