This artwork is an abstract that represents the power within a crystal, wether it's the jewel like beauty of clear crystal looking like Emeralds or the colours of the earth, the sun, sea and sky that it reflects or the pulse and healing powers that emits from it. I first designed this picture at art college in the 1960's calling it, Jewel Light, later during the 1980's I elaborated on the design taking it from the original work in Goauche and painting another larger picture in acrylics and pen, drawing precise lines with a ruler. There was a lot of hand work and imagination put into this painting, no references were used, just my creative and inner visual abilities at the time. I then called it simply, Crystal. I love the results. This artwork has imperfections due to its hand painted chic look of the design, done with precision and a handpainted mix, looks great as a wall poster, tote bag, t-shirt or Duvet Cover or greeting card
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
