Description
I love this scene at Portree in the Isle of Skye of the little coloured fishermen's cottages along the harbour and pier head, I can't resist taking a photo of this scene every time I visit the island; it was a calm day and it had been raining a little. I had my lunch at an eatery just opposite this scene in a hotel and really enjoyed the food and the service. The cottages always look freshly painted every time I visit, there are little fish restaurants along the rows and a lovely view of loch Alsh with the Cullin mountains in the distance, it's usually very warm in Portree in the summer and not so bad most of the winter months as Portree is a bay and captures the sunshine keeping out the wind. Skye is a lovely island and worth a visit, I have toured all of the island in the past but this was a day trip whilst staying in Ullapool. In this version I changed the colours of the cottages and isolated them with a mask for selective colour splash...I love the new colours
