Description
A portrait of Benedict Cumberbatch in his acting part as Christopher Tietjens a drama from a famous story called Parade's End by Ford Madox Ford.
"I completely fell in love with Christopher Tietjens, the most long-suffering and adorable character I've ever played. His code of conduct is very out-moded, but admirable, isn't it?"
These words are of the opinion of Benedict Cumberbatch on playing the character Christopher Tietjens.
A brief synopses of the story: Christopher Tietjens was a good man with a wicked wife called Sylvia and fell in love with a suffragette called Valentine. Sylvia tried alsorts of wicked plots to make Christopher's life a misery, even faking cancer. There are also some tragic trench scenes from the Great War in this story. Sketched in pencil on textured cartridge paper, I was compelled to sketch this character that Ben played so well, I love his acting including Sherlock and hope to see his portrayal of Hamlet when released; and finally Benedict quoted these words too about Christopher Tietjens....
"I think he has many admirable qualities I'd like to siphon off into my life."
