One of the oldest Scottish Highlands stations and a lovely station it is, I just missed taking a photo of the steam train that runs here across the mountains I had lunch in the little railway cafe that had all the old original fittings it was a treat for me on my visit to Aviemore the little village at the foot of this well known ski resort I visited here last October and the weather was too warm as it never snowed when we went up the mountain path on the coach to the resort entrance, it did rain though when we got there, snow was expected according to the local forecast but it never happened as it came as icey rain. I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
