Description
Plockton a lovely little harbour village north of the Kyles of Loch Alsh on the road to Skye and not far from Drumbuie the area were Bonnie Prince Charlie fled to Skye never to be seen again on the mainland of Scotland. The village has a mild climate and is sheltered by the surrounding mountains on the coastal parts of the sea Loch Carron, yachts are moored here with lovely cottages dotted along the coast and luxury villa style houses, a popular retreat for the artist and musician and is likened to be the St Ives of The north. I have joined 2 photos of the view across the Loch as one picture both east and west sides of the harbour and it's islands and yachts, as the resolutions are too small as an individual picture, it was a scorching day when I took these photos there are palm trees dotted about, it looks very much like a continental resort. I bordered it with blue the colour of the Scottish flag as well as a great match up for the picture with its shades of blue, a lovely cool blue design has come out of combining these 2 pictures
