Description
This winter photo of Avenham Park was taken in February last year when the lawns have turned green again with the daffodils about to blossom under the trees on the riverside. The trees being the famous Avenue of Limes with the photo taken from one side of them overlooking the River Ribble with the train bridge carrying the trains across the river and the A6 London Road bridge in the distance. The sun was shining brightly that day and the sky was a clear blue with white puffy clouds reflecting in the river, a lovely view even though it is still winter. I love the dramatic shadow and silhouettes the sun has cast over the trees and the bridges giving it a pleasant silence of tranquility as winter moves into spring
