Description
An ancient church in the Glenorchy hills called, Simply, the church of Glenorchy set in beautiful highland country not far from Loch Awe and Fort William, it's one of the oldest churches still in use in Scotland, the Parish and grounds are over 400 years old, there is an ancient grave yard within its grounds and the oldest looking graves I ever saw..was quite eerie out there...seemingly there is alot of legend involved in this graveyard, some of the graves being from the McGregor clan...the church was restored in the early 1800's the grounds and graveyard remained as they were. The church interior itself was very warm and welcoming, with polished wooden pews and flowers on the alter, with a beautiful stained glass window behind the alter throwing sunlight with its wonderful colours over the church interiors, a lovely historical place to worship out there in the beautiful landscapes of the Scottish Highlands
