Description
The Mull of Galloway with its beautiful white Lighthouse and vivid blue sky taken on the hottest day in July 2016 and with a poem added I have written which describes the beauty of this coast with its lighthouse and the vastness of the sea, looking out to America on the most westerly coast of Scotland. Mull is a Scottish term for a 3 sided island, meaning treeless, and these juts of land don't have trees. The wide angled view gives it more visual space and room for my poem to sit below the almost smoking cloud capture
The Lighthouse of Galloway
Oh! How I long to be here now,
On the pathway to the light, of the light,
Oh! The lighthouse of Galloway,
Of the Mull out to sea,
To feel the breeze through my hair,
without a care, Of the clean Scottish air,
Of the west-coast sea,
Of the place with no trees,
Of the pathway of the sea,
Of the lighthouse beam,
Entering the lighthouse gate,
Viewing the vast seascape....
And it's only 2,000 miles away to America.
