Description
A painting I did of an oak tree at Camperdown Park in Dundee Scotland it's a vast beautiful park with lots of lovely trees like this one....I love this type of minimalist art and can do it well but haven't done enough...I never knew of Piet Modrian's Grey Tree when I painted this in the 1980's people thought I copied the idea, I was quite amazed by those statements as I did like his works of squares etc and he was an inspiration to me, but I honestly didn't know of the mentioned work...it is very similar to this, Mondrian's however is a bit more loosely applied and was painted before he did his highly popular geometric lines and squares. I love this artwork and its primitive application but effective, it can also illustrate the Tree of Life with its outstretched branches.

It does? Thankyou Lois, Scotland has so much to offer in beauty, history and stunning landscapes, of all the places in Britain it's the best for me. :)
