Description
One of the oldest churches in Scotland which has a history dating back to Robert the Bruce. I caught the light and shadow, without a flash on this film photo, of the interior and windows of the church. I visited here whilst touring around Loch Awe on a coach holiday and this really made my day seeing such a beautiful place, it was difficult to photograph the interiors as we weren't allowed to use a flash...but I discovered a light and shadow phenomena of the photos with my camera set on a museum setting and it became one of my best film photos, taken way before I had a digital camera in the 1990's I do have a few more photos of this lovely Kirk and will upload them in due course; there was a 200 yr old Oak tree by the gateway of the church, I don't know if it's still there, this is the St Douglas Windows, there are Robert the Bruce Windows as well as St Conan's Windows...there is a great deal of legend attached to this Awesome church located at Loch Awe.
