A photo of Southport's very long pier along the beach and out to the sea....showing the end of this pier, which spans across the marine lake and ocean plaza, before it even hits the beach. To walk the pier is quite a long walk from start to finish to the end of the pier, there is a train, however, that runs along the pier, if you'd rather not walk that far. There's also a cafe at the end of the pier for refreshments after your journey. Spectacular views can be seen over to Blackpool, to breathe in the healthy sea air is so exillerating here. Sky scapes over Southport beach, as this one, are awesome to see with its beautiful cloud formations
