Description
My first real landscape painting, painted with Goauche on cartridge paper, the sort you used in school in the 1960's. I did this at home, my school paintings were kept by the school some were abs stunners, a tall ship, a steam train Engine with fire and smoke, a park, A portrait of Donovan in concert in denim. Children, dolls, an african map. This one I did when only 14yrs old and it was a painting of a place I visited quite often with my parents on days out and picnics then called Raby Mere in the Wirral Peninsula a beauty spot in Cheshire, not far from Chester and North Wales, a mere or little lake surrounded by lovely trees in early autumn in shades of gold, it's my only real surviving landscape painting from those days. I'm pleased to have found it and to put it for sale on here, a bit primitive maybe but I was only just starting to paint landscapes, it has a certain magic to it because of this look.
