The lovely garden village of Port Sunlight in the Wirral peninsula between Liverpool and Chester, originally built for the workers of a soap factory by Lord Leverhulme in the early 20th century is now an iconic place and one of a kind. The bridge that goes over the road is like a river bridge and of a unique design surrounded by rather quaint buildings and houses of fairy tale french and German designs with a mixture of Tudor timbered houses and red brick...the unique building in the picture is The Lyceum which was the school and church for the workers children and originally had no denomination, the first of its kind, it is now going to be used as an extension of the museum. I spent a lot of my childhood here and was always intrigued by the lovely blue clock face, a lovely time piece
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs. I have had my works at many exhibitions and know some other artists. I live in Southport and most of my work is accomplished there. I also write poetry and illustrate them.
