Description
As 2016 comes to a close we must remember this terrible tragedy that happened 20yrs ago in March 1996 of the children that were brutally killed by a madman with a gun. I knew the place well and I was prompted to write this the week it happened from photos of my family and myself who visited there often, when we visited our relatives in Dundee, these words are all my own from the heart and the sadness I felt at the time. Andy Murray who was one of the survivors of this tragedy as done so well this commemorative year. I do believe this is one of the reasons why he has done so well because of the children, Dunblane and those memories it's as if they prompted him to do well and he did. RIP dear children of Dunblane.
I copied photos in watercolour and ink taken of my family and myself and put little antidotes in pencil underneath as if from a photo album and superimposed the black typed poem over the watercolour sketches by hand with transparent paper. The typing faded so I digitally added the written white font which is quite in vogue to do it like that. This is mainly so it can be read more clearly and I framed it in a vintage frame, the paper is crinkled naturally with age, being stored wrongly and adds age to the work. Due to respect of this tragedy I will not be selling accessories such as bags, duvet covers and shower curtains etc but only prints and some accessories such as cards and tee shirts as below are available in all the styles available. I will allow tee shirts and mobile covers also the new mug as those things can be used for genuine mourners. I hope you like my poem and memorandum even though sad leading up to xmas, As this year draws to a close please think of all those children that have missed xmas and toys all those years when you open your gifts on this year 2016 20yrs after this tragedy occurred. May God bless you that do. Notes added 2021 this year the 2nd year of the pandemic remembering those children after 25years may people be more aware of the need to be kinder and considerate to others and put any violent thoughts away as it was violence that caused this tragedy. The new jigsaws and stickers are available as these can help you remember to be kinder as reminders as you build your picture and see the sticker on your computer, fridge or book cover
