Description
Taken during the late 1930's, a beautiful portrait of my late mother, when she was a dress designer who worked in London just before the war, my mother had a wonderful flair for fashion and dressed beautifully, she worked as a model and collaborated with dress designers of her day with theirs and her own designs, some of which were lost during the war years...later in her life she took to designing again whilst in a nursing home she had a collection of lovely dress designs of which I have, I will always treasure them and their originality, the hat she wears in this photo is my mother’s own design and she also made it as she was an excellent milliner, one day maybe I will have her dress designs made up. This photo is hand tinted and a wonderful example of photography in her day before colour photography, I restored it with a blur effect added to give it that nostalgic look, she was a beauty in her day with glorious auburn hair and is in her early 20's in this photo, my Aunt Flo was her eldest sister and 15yrs older, only available in smaller sized prints prints due to the smallness of the original photograph
