Description
My original portrait painting of L S Lowry with his famous clocks and painting suit., seemingly painting his 5 legged dog from life with his studio full of his matchstick men and some of his paintings, one being In reverse, also his famous painting easel. I produced this black and white version with an inscription of a line of the famous song about him by Brian and Michael, that being spelt matchstalk rather than matchstick I've used Status quo's spelling from their Lowry inspired song, Pictures of Matchstick Men, Oasis a Manchester band were also inspired by Lowry with their Masterplan video, framed in a black border. I love this take on my Lowry inspired artwork in monochrome blue or Cyantone style
