Description
The entrance to Crathie Kirk or Church, The Royal Family's Place of worship in Scotland. I had to laugh at the sign on the door, was it the Reverand or the Queen who had gone to lunch, anyway it was soon open again. I visited here on my trip to Royal Deeside in 2013 and the Queen was in residence at the time at her home in Balmoral, she had visited this church the previous Sunday, the photo was taken the following Tuesday...so I had followed in the footsteps of the Queen. It was a lovely Sunny day. I love this picture in black and white it really brings out the architecture beautifully, the outer doors are actually pale blue and the inner doors dark oak
