Description
A brighter version of the Egyptian Queen in shades of red as my Egyptian Queen was photographed again in a different format and placement calling this version Cleo 2. This face mask was created in 1998 before they discovered or I saw Cleopatra's tomb and likeness and I got a similar likeness to that, she didnt look like Elizabeth Taylor. I was amazed when I saw the documentary how similar she was to this mask I created; glazed in pearl white glaze and painted with undergazing slip and real gold leafing for her band/crown. I added glitter and stones as a finishing touch, it's quite a scary face, scariness seems popular these days, looks amazing on some of the accessories, looking a little Spooky as well as it seems to have a look of a mummy. This is a piece of genuine ceramic art and all year round looks great as both prints and accessories
