Description
A woodland area at our local park, Hesketh Park, of beautiful beech trees ready to sprout their leaves at the verge of spring, the daffodils at their root base have leafed and are ready to blossom, the Robins are ready to build their nests and the sun is ready to shine through from the cloudy blue sky seen through the trees, these are the Olive variety of beech and almost like willow trees but for their smooth barks. I love walking through these woods and I used to picnic here when the children were quite young, playing tennis in the clearing and climbing the hills nearby that are usually covered in bluebells in May. I painted this picture in early March that year after taking a small sketch whilst having a picnic with the children after school, this painting has great memories
