Description
A lovely scene at Port Sunlight village, the village was built by Lord Leverhulme for the workers of his soap industry, after the factory and industry has gone from the village with the factory still a working soap factory but not as much as in the past, it still stands as one of the most beautiful villages in the country. Port Sunlight is in the Wirral Peninsula between Chester and Liverpool not far from Birkenhead Port and lies near the Manchester ship canal not far from Ellesmere Port, it has art galleries and museums, lovely village inns, beautiful timbered houses and cottages and a village green, seen here with its lovely trees, also a bowling green and lovely flower beds and water fountains with beautiful sculptures dotted here and there. Hulme Hall has a ballroom and stage for live shows and a restaurant too, the Beatles played there before their band became a phenonama world wide, there are pictures of their visits on the walls within the Hall
