Description
The little streamlet that flows from the lake at Botanic Gardens parks in Churchtown Southport is known by locals as the Otter pool and this flows under the road through Meols Hall's grounds across the road, trees and hills line this little streamlet and this is the first picture I painted of it in abstract form breaking down the trees and colours into shapes, I love creating abstracts from nature in a kind of Mondrian style, it's as if the trees are all joined together as one tree, maybe the tree of life as they provide the life supporting oxygen on the Earth, without the tree we would not exist. They are the lungs of the earth, I have another version of this done on a much larger scale, this design looks amazingly good on all the accessories as well as fine prints and greeting cards
