Description
A beautiful red sunset over New Brighton captured during May Last year after I had attended a concert at The Floral Pavilion theatre to see Justin Hayward, an incredible phenomina as Justin's stage backdrop was of a sunset based on his songs, English Sunset, Spirits of the Western Skies and Eastern Sun. I was bowled over by this. The concert was one of the best I've attended, Justin Haywards songs and voice are iconic. I used a contrasting black border to compliment the silhouette of the Kings parade pier style walkway beyond the Marine Lake that divides the lake and the open sea of Liverpool Bay and the River Mersey as it goes out to the Irish sea, you can even see some figures walking out there, I love the affect. The sunset was at its fullest in this position, whereas the fort and the lighthouse where to the right and out of the picture. In the far distance on the horizon, to the left of picture, are Merseyside's wind farms adding to the interest of this picture.
